How to play
Three steps to your territory
No rules to learn: go outside, move and close a loop.
Go out and move
Walk, run or ride. The app follows your route by GPS, also with the screen locked.
Close a loop
Come back into the white circle at the start, or cross your own route. A loop must be at least 200 m long.
It's yours
Every cell inside the loop takes your colour. Capture more and climb the leaderboard.
Capture territory
The city is the game board
The map is split into hexagon cells. Every cell has an owner, and every loop changes the map.
- Close a loop over someone else's land and it becomes yours.
- Defend yours: land you don't visit for 30 days starts to fade.
- Landmarks give extra points.
Walking / Cycling
Two ways, two battles
Each way has its own map and its own leaderboard, so walkers and cyclists are never counted together.
Walking
Walk or run. Great for your neighbourhood, the park and the daily walk.
Cycling
Longer loops and bigger territory. Speed is checked, so driving a car doesn't count.

From beginner to king of the city
Every cell you capture gives experience. Your rank grows with your level.

More than running
Neighbourhood, team and city
Neighbourhood boss
Hold the most land in a neighbourhood and you get the boss title. Everyone there knows who the boss is.
Teams
Join up with friends. The members' territory adds up for the team.
City vs city
Every week: km² captured per active player, so smaller cities can win too.

Privacy
Play without telling anyone where you live
Your route is not stored
The server uses your route only to work out the cells you captured. Only totals are kept, with no coordinates.
A 3-hour delay
You see your new land at once. Other players see it after 3 hours at the earliest, so they can't tell you are running right now.
Home zone
Switch it on in Settings and nothing is captured or shown inside it. Its exact size and centre are secret.

Your city is waiting
Free. For phones with Android 7.0 or newer.
- Tap “Download for Android”.
- If the phone asks, allow installing from your browser.
- Open RunWin.apk and install it.
Check that the file is genuine
Every version of Run&Win is signed with the same certificate. Its fingerprint (SHA-256):
